  김장 무 고르는 법
  

● 무는 계절과 용도에 맞게 고르는 것이 중요하다.배추김치 소로 사 용하는 무는 매운 맛이 강하고 큰 것이 좋다. 무의 매운 맛은 김치 가 빨리 시는 것을 막고 김치 간을 일정하게 유지하기 때문이다.또 바람이 들지 않고 단단한 것이 좋으며 무청이 싱싱한 것으로 고른 다. 무 껍질에 가로로 줄이 들어간 것이 대개 단단하다. 윗 부분이 파르스름하고 위보다 밑이 좀 넓고 겉이 매끈거리고 윤기가 도는 것이 싱싱하다. 깍두기용 무는 윗 부분이 희고 위아래 굵기가 비슷 한 것을 고른다. 동치미 무는 크기가 작고 표면에 윤기가 돌며 윗 부분이 파랗지 않은 매운 것이 국물 맛을 시원하게 한다.무는 잔털 이 너무 많지 않고 진흙이 묻어 있는 것이 달고 맛있다.
